‘Sons of Anarchy’ Charlie Hunnam On Nudity And Growing Up With Naked Women

After wrapping up his biker drama series in December, “Sons of Anarchy” lead star Charlie Hunnam recently revealed his thoughts about nudity and not being shy about it. The British actor also admitted that he grew with his mum, Jane Hunnam, walking naked around the house which made him “very comfortable” with his nakedness.
“I think I grew up in an environment where we weren’t particularly shy of nudity,” the “Crimson Peak” actor told Canada’s The Kit. “My mum was always walking around in the house naked and I spent a bunch of time with my aunt growing up -- she was sort of like my second mum -- she was walking around the house naked, too.”
Taking his clothes off in front of the camera is never a problem with the actor. Known for his role as Jax Teller in Kurt Sutter’s “Sons of Anarchy,” Hunnam has multiple scenes in the TV series where he was showing off his bum and toned naked body. With tons of sexy moments in the show, the 34-year-old is definitely the guy who is not shy about his nakedness.
Hunnam and one of his controversial scene was recently flagged with the Parents Television Council thanks to “Sons of Anarchy” Season 7’s “Red Rose” episode. The three-minute long graphic sex montage also features former “Sopranos” star Drea de Matteo who play’s Hunnam’s character’s ex-wife.
The scene in question features a “hearty eyeful” of the actor’s bare butt which offended a lot of parents. The Parents Television Council is urging FX to become a premium network like HBO so families “should not be forced to underwrite pornography.”
Hunnam also revealed during his interview about his upcoming role as King Arthur in Guy Ritchie’s “Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur.” Set to premiere next year, the new remake of the Arthurian legend is reportedly in six instalments with Eric Bana as King Arthur’s dad, Uther Pendragon.
The actor is also set to star in “American Druglord” penned by “American Sniper” Jason Hall and is scheduled to reprise his role in Guillermo del Toro’s “Pacific Rim.” Catch Charlie Hunnam in del Toro’s upcoming gothic horror film, “Crimson Peak,” which is to premiere in Oct 16.
