A new head gear allowing users to watch 3D movies and play games will be available for purchase in Australia this November according to reports.

The Sony HMZ-T3W Personal 3D Viewer is a wearable device which allows users to stream HD movies and play games in 3D. The device can also be plugged into the user's smartphone to watch content. The device features twin OLED HD screens, a 7.1 channel virtual surround sound and wireless HD technology. It renders a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Some 3D devices give a blurring image sometimes. The blurriness could be due to the distance between the user and the device or due to problems with the device itself. The Sony's 3D viewer claims to provide the images sans blurring, noise and other distortions.

The 3D viewer is also said to be the world's first 60 GHz wireless technology. This enables a "near - zero latency" while streaming videos, claims the company Web site. The audio system gives the users a "360 degree" surround sound experience. Users can also use their own headphones to listen to the audio. Movies can be watched at an incredible 24 frames per second. The device gives a 750 inch screen display experience. The display can be compared to the cinematic experience users get in the movie theatres.

The device comes with dual headbands and a larger head pad giving greater comfort for the users. There is also a larger lens adjustment field so that users can adjust the settings according to their comfort. The 3D viewer comes with an in-built battery. The battery lasts for 3 hours when used in the wireless mode and lasts 7 hours if it is plugged into HDMI. It takes 2.5 hours to get an 80% charge of the battery and 4.5 hours for a fully charged battery.

Many fans are hoping that a dedicated 3D viewer on similar lines could be available for the next iteration of the Sony PlayStation. The Sony 3D viewer is reported to cost about $2230 in Australia. The device is set for the November release in U.K and Australia. The date for the U.S release has not yet been announced.
