Just in time that the LG Nexus 4 is making quite a buzz in the tech market, purported photos of Sony's new smartphone emerged which is rumored to be the company's own contribution to Google's Nexus line.

Xperia Blog posted mockup photos of a device supposedly known as the Sony Nexus X.

One of the noted features of the new smartphone from Sony is its design. The Sony Nexus X will resemble more of Xperia smartphone than the previous Nexus smartphone. It will be flat in front and curved at the back with boxy corners. Also quite interesting are the software buttons found on the mockup - these had first appeared when Google released Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

New rumors claimed that Google will unveil a new smartphone the LG Nexus 4. Its release date remains a mystery, and likely will be until Google makes Android announcements at an event scheduled for October 29th in New York City along with the introduction of Android's latest version - Key Lime Pie.

Google-LG Nexus 4 is rumored to be equipped with 4.7 inch screen display with 1280x768 resolution, 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 8 MP camera and 2100 mAh battery.

As October 29 nears, we will be able to know the confirmed specs for the Nexus 4 as well as further features, release, carriers and pricing.

We should not get too excited about these photos since the Japanese company did not confirm the existence of such device. The photos may not be genuine. However, anything can happen within the next few months; the new Nexus phones, which may also include models from HTC and Samsung, are expected to be released sometime in November.
