Sony Xperia P finally received Androidv4.1.2 Jelly Bean update.

Sony announced that The Sony Xperia P and Sony Xperia Go is getting their Jelly Bean update comes in the form of Android 4.1.2, and it brings the firmware up to version 6.2.A.0.400, the update is being released as an OTA update for both devices.

Users can check if the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is available for your Sony Xperia P or Xperia Go via the settings menu on your handset and follow the instructions.

Meanwhile, Sony Xperia S will receive its Jelly Bean update next month. According to a new report, Sony Mobile's Poland division has confirmed that the much awaited update is already in its final stages and is bound for release in "a couple of days".

Instead, the manufacturer has announced that the deployment process of the new OS on these devices will start at the end of May.

Once the update will start rolling out, the more notable changes you're going to experience on your device include the addition of Google Now, new WALKMAN, Album and Movies apps, a redesigned application tray, better battery life thanks to the inclusion of Battery STAMINA mode, as well as the option to add more desktop panes on your homescreen.

Sony Xperia S was launched in February 2012 running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, got the Ice Cream Sandwich later on and was confirmed as eligible for the Jelly Bean treatment. It will probably be the last update for the smartphone. The delay angered a lot of consumers.
