More details have been revealed on Sony Xperia Sirius including its processor, RAM, camera and OS. However, there are more inside the smartphone as it holds at least 20 software features and more than eight camera modes such as 4K video, Timeshift video, Background defocus and more.

Hard-core Tech Specs

Sony D6503 is the confirmed upcoming codenamed Sony Xperia Sirius which boasts hard-core specifications. It features Qualcomm's Snapdragon MSM8974AB clocked at 2.3 GHz quad-core processor backed by Adreno 330 graphics chipset.

In addition to the powerful processing and graphics rendering hardware, Sirius also sports water resistance, 3 GB of RAM, 20.7 MP rear camera, 2.1 MP front camera shooters and stereo speakers. The screen size reached up to 5.2-inches with 4.86-inches referring to the size excluding virtual buttons and 1080p display resolution.

It is also expected that the 20.7 MP rear camera features Sony G lens with Carl Zeiss optics boasting various camera modes, features and optical image stabilisation.

Software Features

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is the related software running on the device that came with the UI leak based on a firmware version back in November 2013. Newer firmware build versions have been revealed as 17.1.A.X.XXX that points Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.

At least 20 features have been found on the Xperia Sirius including ten camera modes as listed below:

1. 4K video recording is now supported on Xperia Sirius which was rumoured on Xperia Z1 Honami.

2. TimeShift video that allows recording in a high frame rate with capability to apply slow motion effects. Slow motion captures video at 120 frames per second in 720p resolution.

3. Glove mode is enabled on Xperia Sirius.

4. White balance app included.

5. Smart backlight control keeps the screen awake as long as you're looking at it. Similar with Samsung's Smart Stay feature.

6. Smart call handling allows you to answer or reject calls using motion gestures.

7. Double tap to awake the screen is included.

8. Answering machine is a built-in feature that acts as voicemail replacement.

9. Two home launchers called Xperia home as default and Simple home for easy reading.

10. Sound menus feature enabled options for audio accessories.

11. USB DAC support enabled for music enthusiasts.

13. Notifications and status bar are now customisable on your own terms.

14. Default SMS app can now be changed.

15. External USB support for OTB enabled.

16. New power saving modes with accessories support.

17. New modes for Location services.

18. Printing option is included in the System settings.
