Sony Xperia Z 2 Leaked Specs and Release Date Rumours
The specs of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z 2 have been "leaked" online. The device is reportedly the upcoming successor of the Z1 from the Xperia series from the company. Rumours have been rife about the much anticipated device.
The leaked specs are from AndroidSaS and reported by know your mobile. The Sony Xperia Z 2 will reportedly be a 5.2 inch phone with IGZO Triluminos display. The screen is anticipated to come in full HD with 1080p resolution, with 506 ppi in pixel density.
The processor is reported to be the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. The camera on the phone is said to be 20.7 MP with Xenon flash, instead of a LED flash. It is said to run on the Android 4.4 KitKat.
From previous rumours, the Xperia Z 2 could feature a 3 GB RAM. The battery is rumoured to be 3200mAh. The other features could include water resistance and scratch resistance, which is found in the previous generation phone.
The phone is expected to be unveiled by April 2014; meanwhile Sony is fighting hard to keep the features and specs of the phone under wraps. But, given the popularity of the device, more leaks can be expected before the actual unveiling.
The Sony Xperia Z 2 will need to take on upcoming rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Apple iPhone 6. A big expectation from the upcoming devices is in the form of colour offerings, according to analysts.
Apple reportedly did record breaking sales, with the launch of the iPhone 5S, in a new gold colour option. Samsung may soon follow suit with a gold colour option on its current flagship phone.
