Sony Xperia Z aka Sony Yuga Image Leaks, Spec Rumours Include 13MP Camera [PHOTOS]
Sony Smartphone is believed to be all set to unveil the Sony Xperia Z, which reportedly boasts of a 5-inch full HD display. Some specs and images have been leaked by Android watchers (see slideshow). Camera phone users are particularly curious to try the latest Xperia's 13 megapixel camera.
The Sony Xperia Z was earlier labeled C660X Yuga. With a huge 5-inch 1080p display, the mobile device falls under the phablet category - it is a phone and a tablet in one easy-to-carry gadget.

Android Community reported the Sony Xperia Z is rumored to feature "a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 320 graphics and 13 megapixel rear-facing camera." Further, the upcoming Sony flagship phone "is expected to arrive as both a dust- and water-resistant device with the IP (Ingress Protection) ratings of IP55 and IP57."
More information about the Sony Xperia Z aka Sony Yuga will come out in time for CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2013. The annual event will be held from Jan. 8 to 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sony Xperia Z: Who needs a 13 megapixel phablet camera?
Photo experts have often written and discussed the quality of a digital image has more to do with the photographer's skill than the camera itself. So who needs a 13 megapixel phablet camera?
A high megapixel number would help big poster and tarpaulin prints, but an image that is stored only in the device is hardly enhanced by a big megapixel figure. Despite this, camera phone enthusiasts are expected to grab a chance to see how the Sony Xperia Z could change their mobile photography experience.
