Sony Xperia Z Beast Coming Soon in Hopes of Beating the iPhone 6 and Galaxy Note 4: What to Expect
In the smartphone industry, expectations are high again. Anticipation regarding the releases of new flagship smartphone models is on the rise again, especially now that Samsung has announced its September launch of its new Galaxy Note 4. Sony is trailing behind with an announcement of its own.
Tech News has been filled with stories regarding the rivalry between Apple and Samsung. But this time, a third, but not really new player, is about to release some headlines of its own. Sony, also an electronics giant, sent invites to their press conference in IFA 2014 for the unveiling of a new product. Although they never mentioned any particular product, discussion has it that they are expected to go head to head with Samsung and Apple with their Sony Xperia Z3 (the Xperia Z Beast).
Reuters reported that the Z3 may be making headway to the U.S., ahead of the Galaxy Note 4 introduction. BGR reports that Sony may be making its announcement during the IFA on September 3 as well. The Xperia Series, though not as popular yet compared to its Samsung rival, is trying to gain momentum by possibly going for a more unique, impressive design and more ultra low-light sensitivity camera sensor.
The Xperia Series is also known as a smart adventurer's smartphone due to its reliability in toughness. It is also dustproof and waterproof. Both adjectives are "must-have's" for thrill-seekers. Both the Xperia Z1 and Z2 received IP58 certifications, after the majority gave it a two-thumbs up response. Following the footsteps of its predecessors, the Xperia Z3 will undoubtedly become even more of a beast with its toughness and resilience.
On pricing matters, the Sony Xperia Z3 is expected to be lined up among the high-end range phones of Apple and Samsung. However, the price is expected to be lower than that of the iPhone 6.
The smartphone battles continue to ensue. When all the new flagship models are released, the public will soon find out who the leader will be.
