Display Engines

Sony Xperia Z1 F features a 4.3-inch of screen with 720x1280 full HD display resolution and two display engines - Triluminos with X-Reality for Mobile. Both display engines improve image and video quality in terms of contrast, colour and sharpness.

Triluminos technology:

- Enables LCD TFT displays to show a wider range of colours which makes richer and more vivid display.

- Boasts colour gamut up to 50 per cent larger than conventional LCD panels.

- Reproduces more tones and textures.

- Enhances colour and details of photos and videos with Triluminos enabled device.

X-Reality for Mobile:

- Enhances video displays

- Pictures will look sharper

- Reduces noise

- Improves contrast

- Refines tune saturation

Powerful Processor

The rumoured "mini" smartphone will equip Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz. It may allow the device to use 4G LTE connectivity and enables quick data transfer even using 3G connection.

In addition, a 2GB of RAM is also included to the leaked information that helps out multi-tasking of the smartphone for loading heavy apps, 3D gaming and more.

Proofing Features

If you envy the Xperia Z1 waterproof and dust-proof features, its mini version will also boast both IP55/IP58 ratings. It will allow the user to submerge the smartphone up to 1 meter of water under 30 minutes without damaging it - just make sure all ports are securely closed or else.

Hopefully, Xperia Z1 F will also have a dedicated camera button for shooting images and videos underwater conveniently which is something the big brother sports and what's missing on the Xperia Z1 smartphone.

Camera Technology

Xperia Z1 F features a 20.7MP rear camera shooter, same with the Xperia Z1 Honami and the famous new G Lens camera developed by Sony. Carl Zeiss optics stands side by side with Sony G Lens which developed for many years by Konica Minolta and then inherited with Sony's original design.

G lens technology features some of the following:

- Superior in-focus image quality

- Defocused background areas

- Gather light for better brightness

- Minimised flare for higher contrast

Better Battery

Xperia Z1 mini may have a battery pack with the capacity of 2300 mAh and using the infamous STAMINA mode built-in on the device, expect super extended battery life during minimal usage. Moreover STAMINA mode automatically turns off wireless connection when not in use as long as the screen is off.

Aside from STAMINA mode, Low battery mode and Location-based Wi-Fi are also included for power management to extend more juice on the battery.
