Sony Xperia Z1 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will hit the stores this second week of September according to reports. The dates came from a source claiming that details about the launching of the devices were inside information. If this happens to be true, the tech industry will definitely see an interesting battle between companies. The IFA 2013 is just around the corner and some of the biggest names in the market have also releases poised for this month.

A leaked document claims that a UK based provider will be offering upcoming smart devices from Samsung and Sony this September.

Thanks to the report, people in the United Kingdom and possibly other regions can finally anticipate next generation phablets this month.

According to the information, Three UK will start offering Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on September 16 while the Sony Xperia Z1 will be available on the 24th. However, this is just one carrier. There are many more that needs to announce when they will start offering, though it has been a practice that when one carrier starts offering, competitors will also follow suit.
It is good sign to see one carrier preparing. This means the others are also preparing to sell when the time is right. Samsung will already announce the Samsung the Galaxy Note 3 on the 4th of September. The official release of the Sony Xperia Z1, on the other hand, still needs confirmation before the reported release under the carrier. There are reports it may also be released officially at the same time as the Galaxy Note 3.

The upcoming flagship smartphone from Sony is expected to feature a 5-inch full HD display. It will also run on a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor complete with, 2 GB of RAM, according to reports. Other rumoured specs include 20.7 megapixel camera and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

September is the month for big releases. Even HTC will release the HTC One Max around the same day. This will be interesting as similar devices, phablets and tablets, will all hit stores at the same time. Three of the biggest players will be unveiling their smart devices. Consumers will have more -- but tougher -- options.

Despite the drought from Apple, it seems competitors are compensating for their lack of product releases. For consumers interested in getting a phablet, the choice is either between One Max and Note 3. For those looking for a smartphone then the Sony Xperia Z1 should be the product to check out.
