The HTC One Mini 2 comes with a 4.5-inch Super LCD2 display bundled with 720 x 1,280 pixels screen resolution. When it comes to the exterior, the slightly curved back of the One Mini 2 has a brushed aluminium finish and provides the much-loved premium look boasted by the 2014 flagship HTC One M8. However, the One M8 comes with a full-aluminium unibody, while the compact version One Mini 2 comes with plastic corners, according to Gizmodo. The Xperia Z3 Compact, meanwhile, features an aluminium frame and hardened glass rear. The display quality stands out especially when watching videos or playing games, says Trusted Reviews.

The HTC One Mini 2 sports a good 13 MP rear-facing camera with LED Flash, whereas the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact features an impressive 20.7 MP primary camera with LED flash. However, the HTC device houses a surprisingly good 5 MP front-facing shooter, whereas the Sony device comes with a relatively inferior 2.2 MP shooter.
