Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Preorder Has Started In The US, 32 GB Edition Is Priced At $500
The Sony Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact are available for preorders in the US. According to Xperia Blog, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is now available for preorders from today through Sony Store. The shipment of the tablet will start on November 2.
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is available in white colour. The 32 GB edition can be purchased for $500. According to PhoneArena, the LTE edition of the tablet is likely to release before the end of this year. However, the pricing details of the LTE version are not known.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact was unveiled along with the Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact on September 3 during the IFA event. The tablet has an 8-inch TFT LCD screen that supports a display resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. It offers a pixel density of 283 ppi. The screen is protected with shatterproof glass.
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is an IP68 certified device, which protects it from water and dust. The tablet is available comes with an external storage support for up to 128 GB microSD card. It is powered by a Snapdragon 801 SoC, which offers a clocking speed of 2.5 GHz through its Krait 400 quad-core processor. It is coupled with Adreno 330 graphics and 3 GB RAM.
The compact sized tablet from Sony has an 8.1 MP camera on its rear side. The front features 2.2 MP camera. Both the cameras support full HD video recording at 30 fps. The handset features Android v4.4.2 KitKat and is one of the devices that is poised to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet's thickness is only 6.4 mm and weighs 270 g. By this, it becomes the slimmest and lightest device in the 8-inch tablet category. It comes with plenty of connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, NFC, Bluetooth and TV-out. The tablet is powered by a 4500 mAh battery which offers a standby time of up to 1300 hours on 3G and a talk time of 23 hours on 3G.
