Sony had used the IFA tech trade show platform last Sept 9 to reveal a range of new flagship devices. During the event, Sony had announced the arrival of the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact. Both the devices in which sport has similar technical specifications that are now available for purchase in the U.K.

In the U.K., the Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact can be bought through numerous retailers such as Amazon, Clove Technology, Carphone Warehouse and Unlocked Mobiles. Android Central has listed the prices of both the smartphones with several U.K. retailers.

Sony Xperia Z3 Prices at U.K. Retailers

  • Sony Mobile UK official website is selling the Xperia Z3 for £549 ($900).
  • Amazon UK is offering the Xperia Z3 for £529 ($867)
  • Through Clove, the Xperia Z3 can be availed for £515 ($844)

The Sony Xperia Z3 comes with 5.2-inch display that supports full HD resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact has a 4.6-inch display that supports HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels.

The Xperia Z3 is powered by Snapdragon 801 chipset that includes a quad-core processor running at 2.5 GHz and Adreno 330 graphics. It is equipped with 3 GB of RAM. It is available in onboard memory options of 16 GB and 32 GB.

The Xperia Z3 Compact is also powered by the same Snapdragon 801 chipset. However, it features 2 GB of RAM and only one onboard memory option of 16 GB. Both the handsets supports up to 64 GB of microSD on their external storage.

Both the Xperia smartphones feature 20.7 MP Sony Exmor RS rear shooter. The Xperia Z3 features 2.2 MP front-facing camera and the Xperia Z3 Compact comes with 2 MP frontal camera.

Both Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact support connectivity features like 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Both also come with Android v4.4.4 KitKat.

When it comes to battery, the Xperia Z3 is packed with non-removable 3,100 mAh battery whereas the Xperia Z3 Compact houses a non-removable battery of 2,600 mAh capacity.
