Sony's Xperia Z Compact line has just debuted at the international tech market. This is great news for tech users since the Xperia Z5 Compact has raised the bar as regards to "mini" smartphone features.

Tech Times pointed out that the Xperia Z5 Compact -- as its name suggests -- might be one of Sony's smallest smartphones, but this doesn’t say anything about the specs it packs. Despite its size, Sony crammed the device with high-end specs. This, in contrast with what Sony's rivals have done to the mini versions of their flagship devices that come with watered down features.

The Xperia Z5 Compact sports a 4.6-inch HD screen display with 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of added storage via a MicroSD card. The device also has a 23 megapixel primary rear camera that is equipped with 4K video recording and a finger print scanner. All of these specs are fueled by a 2,700 mAh battery.

Moreover, the unit also comes in a variety of colours that appeal to the preferences of any potential buyer. It’s been previewed as the best option for tech users that want to use a compact mobile device -- one that can easily fit into pockets – and that still sports amazing camera technology and features. Its pocket-friendly measurements make the device perfect for one-handed use.

"Z5 Compact lets you express personal style with fresh, vibrant colours, including yellow and coral, in addition to white and graphite black," Sony stated in a press release posted on Sony Mobile Blogs.

It must be noted that the Xperia Z5 Compact has yet to enter the U.S. market. Sony has already launched the device in some European countries such as in the UK where the device can be purchased SIM-free at $680 or AU$945.
