For years, Kevin Love has asked the Minnesota Timberwolves management to surround him with players that can at least contend for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. The front office has failed him to say the least as the franchise has floundered since acquiring Love on a draft-day deal with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2008: 0 postseason appearances in 6 seasons.

Recent reports are stating that Kevin Love has demanded a trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves or at least, is non-committal to his future with the team. The development has been anticipated for years and the end game is here. Should Minnesota risk it all and hope the Love stays with the Timberwolves? Or should they start exploring possible deals now that they can get maximum value off their superstar?

Now that Kevin Love has (sort of) demanded a trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves, it’s time to start exploring Love-centric trades that can happen in the very near future. If the Minnesota management led by Flip Saunders knows better they will trade K-Love now that his value is still very high—as he reaches the potential expiring deal, the team will lose leverage. Why not now when teams will look to buy high? Why not get value now and start rebuilding on a life without Love?

It’s the Indiana Pacers versus the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals as both teams were pegged in the preseason to meet at this stage. After the drama in the Pacers camp and the inconsistencies of the Heat throughout the year, it is Paul George’s squad versus LeBron James’ crew for a slot in the NBA Finals much like last year at this point of the postseason when the Heat defeated the Pacers in seven games.
