St Vincent becomes waitress at a Dallas Taco Restaurant
Musician St Vincent took up the role of a bartender and waitress at the newly opened restaurant Resident Taqueria in Dallas, Texas over the weekend. Singer-songwriter Vincent (real name Annie Clark), supermodel Cara Delevingne’s girlfriend, helped serve food and drinks at the new restaurant of her sister Amy Clark Savoie and brother-in-law and chef Andrew Savoie.
“It’s an honor to be a part of the Resident Taqueria opening weekend. #Dallas #tacos #LakeHighlands,” St. Vincent, 33, tweeted on Sunday. The restaurant manager said that Vincent helped out on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
“It was our opening weekend and she just came into town and offered to help,” she said, speaking to E Online. The manager added that the 33-year-old acted as their bartender and server all weekend, adding that she was helping her sister and brother-in-law, knowing very well that they needed the help, People reports.
The restaurant manager said that the restaurant was super busy and it was fantastic to have such a great reaction from the neighbourhood about the place.
“@st_vincent thank you for refilling our napkin dispenser last night!” Dallas Morning News editor Tom Steele tweeted on Friday. He later also replied to a reader stating that Vincent worked at the restaurant, cleared tables, restocked Topo Chico and refilled the napkin dispenser on their table.
Several patrons recognized St Vincent, whose real name is Annie Clark, and took to social media to express their surprise. They even Instagrammed a pic of St Vincent at the restaurant.
Vincent posted a photo of the restaurant’s window on her Instagram. The eatery serves eight kinds of gourmet tacos, containing braised pork belly and beef short ribs, caramelised cauliflower and fish tempura. The restaurant manager said that Vincent loved all the stuff. The singer has had Andrew’s food as long as [Amy and Andrew] have been married. She loved all the tacos and thinks it to be a great concept.
