Sony and Disney recently announced that there would be a special “Star Wars Battlefront” console bundle, which will come to the PlayStation 4 but not the Xbox One. Xbox users wondered if it simply wasn’t announced or if it would come on a later date, but developer DICE confirmed that the “Star Wars” bundle is exclusive to PlayStation users.

The news was confirmed on a community update from the developer, as part of a community question. No particular reason was given as to why the console bundle is exclusive to Sony consoles. The developer merely stated that the console bundle would be limited to the PlayStation 4 and there don’t seem to be plans for a special “Star Wars” Xbox One.

For those unaware, the “Star Wars Battlefront” console bundle comes with a special Darth Vader-themed PlayStation 4 and the deluxe edition of the “Battlefront” video game. In addition, the game will also come with a digital copy of four classic “Star Wars” games: “Super Star Wars,” “Star Wars: Racer Revenge,” “Star Wars: Bounty Hunter” and “Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter.”

GameSpot also confirmed that the four classic “Star Wars” games will be coming to the PlayStation Network on a later date. This way, fans of those games who already own the console will simply have to wait for the titles to be available. It’s not currently known if the classic “Star Wars” games will be coming to Xbox Live anytime soon.

While Xbox One owners won’t be able to get a Darth Vader-themed console, DICE did announce that there would be a deluxe version of “Star Wars: Battlefront” and it will be available for Microsoft users. The deluxe version will come with a special case for the game with a Storm Trooper cover and multiple downloadable weapons.

“Star Wars Battlefront” is solicited for a Nov. 17 release date for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game is a multiplayer-focused shooter that will feature new weapons and environments from the new film “Force Awakens.” The game is also a reboot of the previous series that debuted back in 2004.
