'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' John Boyega Can't Make A Lightsaber Sound
John Boyega, a cast member of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," found himself in a difficult position when a reporter asked him to make a "lightsaber sound." The actor also spoke about his experience filming the movie while he was attending the Bafta film awards.
Boyega is the first actor to be seen in the trailer of "Star Wars 7," wearing a Stormtrooper uniform. The Stormtroopers are a unit of the Empire's army that helped fight the lightsaber-wielding Jedi in the Galaxy. When BBC's entertainment correspondent Lizo Mzimba asked the actor to make a lightsaber sound, the actor struggled for a while before giving up.
Meanwhile, talking about his experience about his upcoming movie, the actor said that the director J.J. Abrams was a "passionate guy" and that he had done well in this movie. He also showered some praise on his co-star Daisy Ridley and said the actress was one of his closest friends.
Boyega said Ridley is an amazing actress and "Star Wars 7" could be her "breakout role." The actress also featured in the movie trailer in a desert planet setting riding a new version of a speeder.
Boyega also said fans should be "very excited" about the upcoming movie. He said "Star Wars 7" will be going "back to the originals" with some of the cast members from the original trilogy returning to the movie. The actor was also excited about the practical effects the fans will get to see in the upcoming movie.
"Star Wars 7" is one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2015. The story of the movie has been set 30 years after the events of the 1983 movie. Details about the plot or the main villain of the movie have still not been revealed by the producers.
It is also still unclear if Boyega will, in fact, be playing a Stormtrooper in the movie, but the name of his character has been revealed to be Finn. The name of Ridley's character in "Star Wars 7" is Rey. The three original cast members, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, did not feature in the first trailer of the movie. The three actors will be reprising their roles as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Leia, respectively.
