'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Kylo Ren, Luke Skywalker Battle Scene Revealed -- Report
The trailer for “Star Wars: The Force” awakens ends with the reported main villain, Kylo Ren, in the forest seemingly prepared for battle as he holds on to his lightsaber. What goes on in this scene is still unknown. However, according to an unnamed source, Ren was actually injured during this scene after an encounter with Luke Skywalker.
Jason Ward over at Making Star Wars claimed he’s received multiple scene spoilers for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” from an unnamed source via email. A collection of the source’s emails are posted on the site and one of its contents describe Kylo Ren’s (Adam Driver) scene in the trailer. According to the source, the scene shows Ren injured after he engaged in battle with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). His life was spared by the Jedi Master at the dying wish of Han Solo (Harrison Ford). Luke supposedly manages to get away from Ren and escape with Finn (John Boyega) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) into the forest. The source said Kylo Ren lighting up his lightsaber in the trailer “takes place after solo dies and he is chasing Rey, Luke and Finn into the forest” as they head towards Poe (Oscar Isaac) and the Millennium Falcon.
According to the source, what follows after the trailer scene shows Kylo Ren finally catching up to Rey, Finn and Luke Skywalker. A battle follows thereafter between Finn and Rey after Ren manages to separate them from Luke. “The fight shows that Ren isn’t as prominent a fighter as he wants to be and ultimately is on an even footing with Rey in ability,” the source added. The untrained Finn reportedly tries to help Rey, but in the end he turns to help a beaten Luke Skywalker get onboard the Falcon.
Kylo Ren is said to be the main villain in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” According to a previous report from the International Business Times Australia, he has taught himself in the ways of the Sith in his desire to be as powerful as his grandfather, Darth Vader. He is said to be Han Solo and Princess Leia’s son and brother to Rey.
