More TV spots and film footage have been revealed nearing the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in US cinemas on Dec. 18. However, before the film opens another possible spoiler has been leaked online. BB-8 and Rey’s (Daisy Ridley) arrest by the First Order Stormtroopers has been detailed and BB-8’s origin has also been revealed.

[Spoiler alert]

A “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” spoiler managed to get its way into a children’s book. Images found inside the book somehow gave away plot points in the film involving Rey and BB-8’s arrest and Finn’s efforts in rescuing them. The images have since been deleted but some of the narrations included in the book are shared by Jason Ward from Making Star Wars.

Rey and BB-8 are caught in the chaos between the Rebel Warriors and the First Order army. The pair gets arrested by the First Order troops during the battle between Princess Leia’s (Carrie Fisher) X-wing pilots and Captain Phasma’s (Gwendoline Christie) Stormtroopers on the planet of Takodana.

Finn (John Boyega) learns of the arrest and convinces the help of the Millennium Falcon pilots Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) to rescue Rey and BB-8. Finn tells them they have to get their friends out quick before the Resistance blows up the enemy base. Chewbacca, Finn and Han Solo end up crashing the Millennium Falcon into the Starkiller Base.

The said “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” spoiler found in the children’s book also revealed the identity or origin of BB-8. The loveable android reportedly belongs to the First Order. Max Von Sydow’s character owns BB-8. At one point in the film Sydow, who plays Lor San Tekka, puts a message inside BB-8 and sends it off into the night to deliver the message. Later in the night Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and Lor San Tekka meet up in Jakku.

It was previously reported that Rey manages to escape her prison at the First Order base through her Jedi powers. She is said to be Force sensitive. While in prison she uses mind control to convince the Stormtroopers keeping watch over her to leave their post so she can escape.
