Donna finds herself in a big legal mess toward the end of “Suits” Season 4. Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) saves the day in the penultimate episode. Yet, he also ruins it with Donna in the finale. Saying things are not working for her anymore, Donna quits Team Specter and switches to Team Litt.

Prior to the premiere broadcast of the “Suits” Season 4 finale, Sarah Rafferty told ET Online she was “very intrigued to see the [fans’] reactions.” The actress was talking about the final act of Season 4, in which Donna tells Harvey she’s leaving him.
Donna is extremely unhappy about the way Harvey dropped the words “I love you” on her. “Suits” Season 4 detailed their history from the day they met, but present-time Harvey remains unable to simply give in. In the end, Donna tells him she loves him, but he is quitting as his secretary. Will Harvey get a new Donna?
“She’s definitely not going to let that go,” Rafferty told ET. The actress is expected to update her social media accounts and reach out to fans for their reactions again when “Suits” Season 5 premieres on June 24.
“Suits” Season 5 may have a type of break-up between Donna and Harvey, but it also has a positive development: Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) are engaged. In another sad storyline, however, Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) and Jeff Malone (D.B. Woodside) are over.
