Nintendo has announced that they will finally release the much-awaited Tourney mode for “Super Smash Bros 4” for the Wii U. The new game mode will be part of a free update that will roll out on July 31.

There will be two types of Tourneys after the update; Community Tourney and Regular Tourney. According to Techtimes, players will get to battle each other in the Community Tourney, with the goal of attaining the highest points in a limited time period. On the other hand, Regular Tourneys happen during specific times and comes with a set of rules.

The content update will also bring with it the ability to save and post replays on YouTube. Players need only to have a Google account to begin uploading. Aside from the new features for the Wii U, both versions of the game will be getting new stages and new Mii Fighter costumes.

NintendoEverything reported that a new Parka costume will be available for all Mii types, while a new K.Rool and Chrom costume will be exclusive to Mii Fighter types only. As for new stages, the content update is set to roll out the classic Hyrule Castle 64 from the “Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” game and Peach’s Castle 64 from “Super Mario 64.”

Since its release in 2014, “Super Smash Bros 4” has been getting regular content updates from Nintendo. Both of its Wii U and 3DS versions have receive numerous contents such as extra stages and costumes. But the biggest content updates for the game are the characters that Nintendo rolls out. Currently, there are four DLC characters; MewTwo from “Pokemon,” Roy from “Fire Emblem,” Lucas from “Mother 3,” and the most recent is Ryu from “Street Fighter.”

Players could still see an additional fighter since Nintendo is yet to announce the winner of the Fighter Ballot. The poll, launched in April, asks fans of the game to vote on a character that they would like to make an appearance in the game. Fans have speculated that the winner of the poll is K.Rool from the “Donkey Kong” series, mainly because of the new Mii costume based on the character. However, Nintendo is yet to announce a leader and the poll will be open till Oct. 3.
