"Super Smash Bros." for Nintendo 3DS which will be released on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014 in North America and Europe, is a single-player and multiplayer fighting video game developed by Sora Ltd. and Bandai Namco Games. It is published by Nintendo. Read on to learn more about it.

According to the official website of "Super Smash Bros." for Nintendo 3DS, there will be lots of familiar video game characters from various Nintendo games including Mario and Luigi from "Super Mario Bros.," "Donkey Kong," Link and Zelda from "The Legend of Zelda," Pikachu from "Pokemon" and "Sonic the Hedgehog." "

A total of 49 playable characters can be used in "Super Smash Bros." for Nintendo 3DS. There are also 15 new characters added to the roster and they are listed below.

15 New Characters In "Super Smash Bros." for Nintendo 3DS:

1. "Wii Fit" Trainer

2. Little Mac ("Punch-Out!!")

3. Villager ("Animal Crossing")

4. Rosalina ("Mario" series)

5. Bowser Jr. ("Mario" series)

6. Greninja ("Pokemon X and Y")

7. Lucina ("Fire Emblem Awakening")

8. Robin ("Fire Emblem Awakening")

9. Palutena ("Kid Icarus: Uprising")

10. Dark Pit ("Kid Icarus: Uprising")

11. Shulk ("Xenoblade Chronicles")

12. Duck Hunt Duo ("Duck Hunt")

13. Mii Fighters (can be customized and played as a Brawler, Swordfighter or Gunner)

14. "Mega-man"

15. "Pac-man"

Notable Returning Characters:

1. Dr. Mario ("Super Smash Bros. Melee")

2. Zelda ("The Legend of Zelda") - only playable as an individual character

3. Sheik ("The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time") - only playable as an individual character

Unfortunately, some characters in previous installments of the game are not included in "Super Smash Bros." for Nintendo 3DS including Ice Climbers, Squirtle, Ivysaur, Snake, Wolf and Lucas.

"Super Smash Bros." for Nintendo 3DS Features:

1. Stereoscopic 3D graphics with optional cel-shaded outlines.

2. Smash Run mode (exclusive to the 3DS version) - based on the "Kirby Air Ride" City Trial mode.

3. Classic mode - adjustable difficulty and multiple routes

4. Stadium mode - includes the Multi-Man Smash, Home-Run Contest and Target Blast
