A Surprise Ally Of Superman Will Join ‘Infinite Crisis’

As the launch for “Infinite Crisis” draws near, a new champion has been announced for the DC MOBA game. While fans knew that the game would be full of Elseworlds versions of their favourite heroes, many will probably be shocked at the revelation that Krypto is set to join the game.

For those unaware, Krypto is the pet dog of Superman and is also one of the last remaining survivors from Krypton along with Superman and Supergirl. Despite his cute appearance, Krypto also has the same powers as Superman and should not be underestimated in a fight during “Infinite Crisis,” as Polygon reports that the Kryptonian dog will specialize in close combat.

Dawnbase has covered all of Krypto’s upcoming abilities that can be used in the “Infinite Crisis” game. He has two very dog-like abilities in the game, like Fetch and Man’s Best Friend, but also has a variety of offensive and defensive maneuvers he can use like Piercing Howl and Vigilance.

Interestingly enough, players can choose two different versions of Krypto to use in the game. His default version is an adorable dog with a cape similar to the one Superman wears and his other skin, based on his depiction in the New 52 comic like, has him appear in a more vicious wolf-like state. The New 52 version of Krypto also has no cape, but instead wears a collar with the famous Superman logo on it.

The inclusion of Krypto in the game could lead to several other animal characters from the DC Universe making their way to the game. Dex-Starr for example, is a Red Lantern Cat and could make for an interesting ranged fighter in the game. Gorilla Grodd could also be added, given his popularity and future appearance in the “Flash” television show.

Krypto is a character that’s been in DC comics for a long time now, debuting way back in 1955 as Superman’s pet. The character has also appeared in various forms of media aside from comics, including appearances in several DC animated series’ like “Justice League Unlimited” and “Batman The Brave and The Bold.” The character even got his own cartoon back in 2005 called “Krypto The Superdog.”
