More power to the girls. Zayn Malik's ex-girlfriend Perrie Edwards and her band, Little Mix, performed with Taylor Swift during the latter's “1989” world tour concert on Saturday night.

Swift tweeted her support for Edwards and the other girls, praising their performance. “LITTLE MIX!! Love these girls!! They smashed it tonight in front of 50,000 screaming fans. Amazing,” Swift posted on her Twitter feed after the performance. The girls performed on their single “Black Magic.”

Edwards, who recently broke up with Malik, stood next to Swift on the stage during her concert in Santa Clara, California. According to Hollywood Life, the crowd cheered when Swift announced Little Mix's name, and later she took the centre stage as the other girls performed on their song.

Afterwards, the band thanked the singer on social media and said that sharing stage with Swift was “one of the best experiences in our little mix life ever!"

"Cannot thank Taylor enough for having us tonight, 60,000 incredible screaming swifties with a sprinkle of Black Magic, thank you for being so welcoming to us! We love you Taylor can't wait to catch up very soon! xx Little Mix xx,” Little Mix said on their Instagram page.

Meanwhile, Malik recently dissed the four-member band on Twitter. The former One Direction member, who first unfollowed the group on Twitter, later retweeted a question that asked fans to retweet if they thought Fifth Harmony's “Worth It” was a better single than Little Mix’s “Black Magic.” To show their support for Little Mix's song, the fans were asked to favourite the tweet, and Malik chose the retweet option.

Meanwhile, “Black Magic” was nominated for Choice Music: Love Song at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards but lost to One Direction's song “Night Changes." The group, however, won the Choice Music: Breakout Artist award at the gala night.
