The "Swifties" did a really good job! The American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift has made history again with her new (fourth) album "Red" released October 22. "Red" landed at No. 1 on the Billboard charts this week and sold over 1.21 million copies in just one week. This will be Swift's third album to top the chart, following 2008's "Fearless" and 2010's "Speak Now."

Eminem's "The Eminem Show" was the last album to sell more than Swift's "Red" which sold 1.3 million copies in its debut week in 2002.

Swift is the only woman to have two million-selling weeks since SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991 and it's the second largest sales total for a female artist. Britney Spears holds the top spot with sales of 1.319 million for her 2000 album "Oops! . . . I Did It Again."

Swift's sales totals for "Red" include 465,000 copies on iTunes, 396,000 copies through Target, which had an exclusive deluxe version of the album with bonus songs and remixes and 8,000 copies through Papa John's Pizza, which sold the album on its own and as part of a large one-topping pizza combo.

Unlike many albums which have benefited from opening week discounted pricing in recent months, Swift's "Red" hasn't been sold for lower than $9.99 at any major retailer. Well, this is definitely one news worth celebrating of which the country crooner did exactly by tweeting first to her million Twitter followers.

"They just told me Red sold 1.2 million albums first week. How is this real life?! You are UNREAL. I love you so much. Thanks a millon ;)," tweeted Swift.

Despite having called off her relationship with Conor Kennedy, a broken heart isn't weighing down Swift's success. However, it looks as if Taylor isn't rumored to be breaking down. Along with celebrating her "Red" success, the 22-year old singer is "Red"-iculously in love with British songwriter and singer, Ed Sheeran.

Rumor has it, Swift is said to be dating the "Kiss Me" singer. Hopefully, things go smoothly this time around. Given Sheeran did help out for "Red", fans should hope Ed doesn't turn out to be just another song on Swift's next album right after "Red."
