Taylor Swift to Serenade Kate Middleton on Birthday?
After singing on stage with Prince William, it looks like Taylor Swift is out to serenade another royal. Reports has it that the "Red" singer is scheduled to serenade Prince William's lovely wife, Kate Middleton for her birthday next year. Talk about getting the "Royal" treatment.
After hanging out with "Royals" singer Lorde, it's no coincidence that the country crooner would be eyed by actual royalty, Duchess Kate Middleton. The 24-year old singer is said to be scheduled to serenade Kate on her birthday next year.
"William's been trying to get Kate's surprise sorted for Jan. 9 when she turns 32," says the source to British magazine Closer (via the Independent). "When he met Taylor Swift recently he asked her if there's any likelihood she's in the U.K. for the New Year, or just after, because he knows Kate's a fan and she's love to meet the singer."
Given Kate is to turn the big 32, does this mean Taylor has to write a special song entitled "32" for the Duchess? Well, let's hope it is as catchy as her hit "22" but not with the lyrics: "I don't know about you, but I'm feeling twenty two."
As for birthdays, Taylor celebrated her 24th birthday last Friday the 13th along with a few friends. New Zealand native, Lorde was present at the event but Swift's BFF, Selena Gomez was nowhere to be found. This had prompted rumours that Lorde would soon replace the "Come & Get It" singer as Swift's new BFF. Hopefully, Gomez had a good reason to skip out from TSwift's garden-themed birthday bash.
As for the royal couple, Kate Middleton and Prince William are hoping to spend their first Christmas as a family without the royal shenanigans.
"Like any new family, they're looking forward to having some alone time, but they also want to catch up with friends," says an insider to the Independent.
"There's talk of meeting with the Beckhams. William and David have been in touch since they worked on the Olympic bid together and they're going to be in London for part of the time, so there are tentative plans for a get together," continued the report.
