Taylor Swift spotted in Auckland, will shoot her next music video in Sydney
Taylor Swift is busy preparing for her upcoming music video, which is scheduled to be shot in Australia. This is probably the reason why the “Bad Blood” singer gave the 2015 American Music Awards (AMA) a miss.
Swift is likely to film portions of her next music video, which is speculated to be “Out Of The Woods,” at the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney on Thursday, News Corp reports. She will then kickstart the Australian leg of her “1989” World Tour.
The 25-year old singer, who performed at the 2012 Australian Recording Industry Association Music awards (ARIA awards), was also expected to attend this year’s awards, which are scheduled to be held on Thursday in Sydney. The rumours of Swift’s presence at the ARIAs were fueled owing to its timing, which coincides with Taylor Swift’s schedule as she will perform at ANZ Stadium on Saturday.
Although Swift will not be present as she films her new MV, Singer Ed Sheeran will mark his presence at the ARIA awards as a guest star, while bigwigs like Kylie Minogue, Adam Brand and Alli Simpson will adorn the stage as presenters.
If reports from the New Zealand Herald are to be believed, Swift is “definitely in New Zealand.” It is believed Calvin Harris’ girlfriend is shooting for her new video at an East Tamaki warehouse, Auckland, according to News Corp Australia. New Zealand also happens to be the homeland of one of Swift’s closest pals, Lorde.
Swift is riding high on success these days as she recently received three awards at the AMAs, including Favorite Pop/Rock Album and song of the year.
While fans and followers keep a close tab on Swift’s whereabouts, touring promoters, Frontier as well as her record label Universal claimed to have no knowledge of her being in Auckland.
"I have no idea where the reported confirmation came from. Until I see a photo, I'll consider it all a big media hoax," stuff.co.nz quoted Universal's promotions manager Matt Kidd.
