Televangelist Pat Robertson Feels Like Puking Whenever He Sees Gays Post Kissing Pix in Facebook; Seeks Addition of a Vomit Button (VIDEOS & PHOTOS)
If it were all up to televangelist Pat Robertson, he would add a Vomit button to Facebook as a response to newsfeed or photos or videos he does not like whenever checking the most popular social media site.
One of them is photos of gay men kissing, which Mr Robertson says makes him want to puke. He made the comment, likely to generate a sharp retort from the LGBT community, as a response to a question from a viewer of his show The 700 Club aired over his Christian Broadcasting Network on Monday.
The question was how would the televangelist address images of same-sex couples posted on social media sites.
"To me I would punch 'Vomit,' not 'Like,' ... But they don't give you that option on Facebook," he said.
The preacher had previously used the term vomit out to describe what earth would do to people who disobey the laws of the Old Testament, which speaks against homosexuality and gay practices.
Quoting Scriptures, he said, "Homosexuality is an offense; it's an abomination for a man to lie with a man as with a woman. That's what it says."
Mr Robertson added, "And those who do that in the Old Testament were stoned to death. For some reason now the Supreme Court has said homosexuality is now a constitutional right," referring to the recent court decision on same-sex marriage.
