Telstra Makes Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Rural Regions Of Australia With Blue Tick Rating
Sony Mobile has announced through a press release that Telstra customers will be able to conveniently use the Xperia Z3 Compact in rural and regional areas of Australia with Blue Tick rating. From October 14, the Xperia Z3 Compact will be available for purchase through Telstra stores.
The Xperia Z3 Compact sports has similar specs like that of the larger Xperia Z3. According to Peter McKoren who is the Managing Director with Sony Mobile Corp in Oceania, claims that the handset boosts premium build, connectivity and is very durable.
The comparison of the Xperia Z3 with the Xperia Z3 shows that except for the dimensions and display size, most of the features are identical. With a slimness of 8.6 mm, the Xperia Z3 Compact is slightly thicker than the Xperia Z3. It weighs 129 g.
The Xperia Z3 Compact is an IP68 certified device which makes it resistant to water and dust. The 4.6-inch IPS LCD display supports full HD resolution along with 319 ppi. The device is available in four colours namely, black, white, green and orange.
The Z3 Compact is running on the powerful Snapdragon 801 chipset which includes Krait 400 quad-core processor that delivers a clocking speed of 2.5 GHz along with Adreno 330 graphics. It is also equipped with 2 GB RAM. The internal storage of the device is 16 GB and the external storage supports up to 128 GB of microSD.
The Xperia Z3 Compact is running on the latest Android v4.4.4 KitKat. The rear camera of the handset is of 20.7 MP and above the display; there is a 2.2 MP camera for video calling. The Z3 Compact is powered with 2,600 mAh battery.
Telstra will be selling the Xperia Z3 Compact in two colour variants, black and white. Since the handset is first going to arrive on Telstar, it will enjoy the exclusive rights of the orange coloured Xperia Z3 Compact.
The Mobile Accelerate Plan for availing the Xperia Z3 Compact will let the customers pay $70 to purchase the handset by committing to a two-year contract. For two years, customers will have to pay $2 per month.
