'Terminator: Genisys' New Motion Poster Shows Arnold Schwarzenegger Turning Into T-800 Endoskeleton
A new motion poster of “Terminator: Genisys” has been released by the producers. The motion poster shows Arnold Schwarzenegger slowly revealing the metallic endoskeleton that is underneath the skin of his character in the movie.
Fans of the franchise who have watched the previous movies know that the T-800 cyborg has living tissue on top of the metallic endoskeleton. The cyborg was built by the self aware computer program called Skynet, which is the main antagonist in the movie, in order to kill the mother of the leader of the human resistance forces.
The video shows Arnold Schwarzenegger wearing a leather jacket and carrying a gun. Viwers first see one of his eyes turn red and later an explosion rips of some of the skin from the side of his face. The metallic endoskeleton is then slowly revealed on the face, hand and eventually the full body. Finally what remains is the robot that the fans have seen in the trailer of “Terminator: Genisys.”
Readers who have seen the first two movies from the franchise may note that the endoskeleton seen in the video is slightly different in design compared to the previous movie. The most notable change in the T-800 featuring in “Terminator: Genisys” is the chest piece, which seems to look more like the logo of the fictitious company called Cyberdyne Systems.
Cyberdyne Systems was featured prominently in the original movies from the franchise. The company built many machines, based on the model of a hand that belonged to a T-800. The company was also responsible for the creation of the computer program called Skynet.
Arnold Schwarzenegger will be playing the role of a young T-800 as well as an older version of the cyborg in the upcoming movie. The trailers of the movie show the actor walking away with a young girl, who is the young Sarah Connor. He is later seen sporting grey hair and fighting alongside a grown-up Sarah, played by Emilia Clarke.
“Terminator: Genisys” will be revisiting the storyline of the original two movies from the franchise. But, as Sarah Connor says in the trailer, “everything has changed.” The heroes in the movie will still have to battle the two robots sent by Skynet from the future, such as the T-1000, played by Byung-hun Lee.
