These 3 Are No Killer Features: Yet We’d Want to See them on the Next iPhone Build
The killer features wish list for the iPhone 5S release date is growing by the day but for some users, the main upgrade concern is to get the smartphone that fit their requirements for everyday use.
While jaw-dropping device capabilities like advance camera and solid security protection are very much appreciated, what counts the most are improvements in basic smartphone features that will give consumers equal amounts of productivity and enjoyment.
We've listed here three simple iPhone updates that hopefully Apple will deploy in time for the iPhone 5S launch date, rumoured in September.
The clamour for longer-lasting iOS 7 smartphone
No doubt the new iPhone features displayed via the iOS 7 beta version are overwhelming and getting them on D-Day is beyond cool. One thing is sure though, these additions are battery drain - enough to squeeze the power juice out of a mobile phone in a few hours.
It is a must that Apple bumps up the iPhone 5S battery rating to keep the gadget going for longer hours lest the enhancements will be for nothing. This is quite possible with better technologies that assure smartphone CPUs are powerful enough but not too energy-hungry. Also, new network chips should provide faster LTE and Wi-Fi access to handsets without eating too much of their reserve power.
Increasing by at least 50 per cent the battery rating of the iPhone 5S should be a giant leap that will make millions of Apple fans very happy.
More storage space
The best that Apple offers at the moment is 64GB with the iPhone 4 still in circulation at 8GB. The latter configuration should be a thing of the past come September as the tech giant would surely bring smiles to iPhone buyers if the gadget they're taking home, which is without memory expansion prospect, starts at 32GB.
Further, a 128GB kick up would be awesome for future iPhone 5S buyers who treat their smartphones as a portable digital locker, brimming with music, movies and e-book for instant access without network connectivity. Apple showed earlier this year that 128GB on a device is possible with the introduction of an iPad 4 with that so much operating space.
A sexy iPhone that is durable and resistant to scratches
Users of iPhone would love to show off their units in out-of-the-box condition many months after their purchase. As iFixit proved it, the same is not possible with the iPhone 5, which the tech declared is a virtual dent magnet, especially on it back side and chamfered edge. For protection, iPhone owners are forced to use protectors that usually transform the beautiful smartphone into an ugly-looking gizmo.
Hopefully in the 5S, users can wield the handset at will without worrying that once it mixes with other pocket or bag contents it will come out with nasty nicks and scuffs all over its anodised aluminium body, which is robust indeed but too sensitive during the inevitable friction moments.
