Three Apple Rumours That May Come True on September 9
This is arguably the most important day for Apple in recent times. As the world was eagerly waiting for this day for months, Apple's future may well be decided on Sept. 9 as it will announce some of its most significant updates. Here are some of the major announcements that Apple is expected to make on Tuesday.
iPhone 6
Apple generally introduces its next-generation mobile phones in September. This is definitely the biggest update that the world was waiting for. The iPhone 6 is rumoured to have a much bigger screen than its ancestors. The screen size can get as big as 5.5 inches, according to speculations. There may be multiple versions of the iPhone 6. The base model with a 4.7-inch display may be called the iPhone 6 while the one with a 6-inch display may be called the iPhone 6 Plus. The iPhone 6 may also have sapphire screens that will ensure less breaks and cracks. However, this is expected to raise the price even higher. The storage capacity may get as big as 128 GB while the present iPhone has only 64 GB storage space.
iWatch
Apple is rumoured to release a smartwatch. While the Apple smartwatch may not be called the iWatch, the company may have plans to outsmart every other smartwatch in the market. Apple is expected to put more emphasis on its fashion quotient without compromising with its features. There may be lots of health related apps in the Apple smartwatch to record medical conditions like sleep patterns and heart rates. Healthkit, Apple's software for fitness software and activity-tracking, may be integrated with the smartwatch as well.
Security
The recent controversy of leaked personal images of Hollywood celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton may prompt Apple to introduce stronger security measures. The tech giant was blamed by a number of people for its vulnerability after the celebrity images had been leaked from the iCloud. Alternatively, the company may also focus on its exiting two-step verification process and ask its users to take advantage from it.
Confirmed Updates
Apple confirmed in June that it would introduce to the next generation operating systems. OS X Yosemite for the Mac and iOS 8 for mobile devices will be available for free. Both are expected to be available within a week after those are officially announced at the event.
