Top 4 Reasons Why iPhone 6 Will Hit Big Soon After its Sept 2014 Release Date
The excitement sparked by the fast-approaching iPhone 6 release date this 2014 prompted many analysts to declare this early that Apple has another blockbuster in the making with the next iPhone refresh.
Steven Milunovich of UBS Securities is in full agreement and according to Apple Insider, the Apple watcher, in his latest research note to investors, has pinpointed four factors that will propel the upcoming iPhone to record sales in the immediate months and quarters after the device is rolled out.
Mobile payment
Apple is rumoured to finally pack its 2014 flagship with near-field communication technology or NFC, long implemented on Android devices, that according to numerous reports is exclusively geared to enhance the tech giant's mobile payment service, starting off with the iPhone 6 and the 2014 iPads.
Its in-house mobile payment facility, Milunovich said, will reinforce Apple's status as a major retail player as the company will continue to expand its already solid fanbase that numbers to hundreds of millions.
First iOS wearable device - the iWatch
As Apple is set to unleash the major makeover that the iPhone 6 is, analysts are convinced that the handset will get unpacked with a complementing killer device that users can actually wear. At the moment, this iOS-powered smartwatch is known as the iWatch.
Said to also deliver stand-alone features, the Apple time piece is chiefly designed as the companion piece for one of the iPhone 6's core features that will allow users to monitor in real-time health and fitness data.
Omnipresent iOS 8
The biggest transformation that iOS 8 represents, coming from the past iOS builds, is the software taking the role of a gateway that leads to the Apple mega-ecosystem as termed by Apple CEO Tim Cook. One component of the redesign is the seamless transition between iOS and OS X devices that will create the ubiquitous Applesphere, Milunovich said.
And in the few months to come, this universe will be initially unveiled via the iPhone 6, which analysts said will be the first iDevice to debut with the iOS 7 replacement.
Tim Cook
And the man responsible for somehow ensuring that the iPhone 6 will develop into a huge success story is Tim Cook himself. The UBS report lauded the Apple chief executive for 'thinking big.
Specifically with Cook behind the steering wheel, Apple became "less as a tech company and more as a luxury consumer franchise or lifestyle brand," Milunovich was reported by Apple Insider as saying.
That same brand consistently generates billions of dollars in revenues each passing quarter.
The iPhone 6 release date is forecasted between September 19 and 26 this 2014 though the time table is likely exclusive for the 4.7-inch model as the 5.5-inch phablet-size build is not seen to touchdown until December this year at the earliest.
