With the holiday season fast approaching many of the companies are preparing to launch new devices. Here are the top 5 gadgets to look forward to this October of 2013.

iPad 5: The next iteration from Apple from its tablet devices. There have been a few leaks of the casing of the iPad 5. It is expected to be launched along with the iPad mini 2. The devices are rumoured to be launched on Oct 15, at an Apple event. Fans are wondering if the "Touch ID" finger print scanner will feature in the devices.

Nexus 5: Media reports and leaks suggest that the Nexus 5 could be launched anytime between 15 Oct and 31 Oct. The device is rumoured to have a 4.96 inch display with 1080p resolution. The newly launched Android 4.4 KitKat may also feature in the device. The device was allegedly shown in a promo video of the Android 4.4 KitKat.

Nokia Bandit: The Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphone called "Bandit" was expected to be released by end of September. New media reports now suggest that the launch date has now been pushed to Oct. The device is a 6 inch Windows based phone. The device is rumoured to pack a whopping 20 MP camera.

LG G2: The latest smartphone by LG will be available for pre-order from late September to early October, depending on the country. Sprint has announced the device to be available from Oct 11 for pre-order. The device comes in a 5.2 inch display. It has a 13 MP primary camera and a 2.1 MP secondary camera. It has some nifty features like simultaneous video and image recording.

Play Station 4: There was a lot of expectation for an October release of the PS4. But it has been confirmed - Sony will be launching the PS4 in 32 countries in November. North America can expect the device from 15 November and Europe can expect it by 29 November. The launch will also feature exclusive games. The games at the launch include - Watch Dogs, Assasin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Infamous Second Son.
