Samsung unveiled its biggest and coolest smartphone yet. The South Korea-based company introduced the Galaxy Note 2 in a media event yesterday impressing the tech world.

At the Samsung's Unpacked event, the company narrated the features of the device. From its new 5.5-inch display, to its quad-core processor, to its 2GB of RAM and finally to its 8MP rear camera and 1.9MP camera, the Galaxy Note 2 features some tantalizing specifications.

Below are the five main reasons why it is worthy to buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Latest Android Jelly Bean

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will run with the latest Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean. Introduced by Google before, this new mobile operating software has vast improvements compared to its predecessor.

Moreover, the smartphone's features will receive a boost with this OS as Jelly Bean is packed with offline Voice dictation, an improved Gmail application, new camera settings, more Face Unlock functionality, and a whole lot more.

Fast 4G/LTE Connectivity

4G/LTE Connectivity has become a must in the latest devices as it offers data speeds that are up to 10 times faster than those found on normal 3G. This fast connectivity allows for smoother streaming of video, faster downloads, and a better overall mobile experience when Wi-Fi is not available.

Improved S-Pen Functionality

One of the main features that set the Galaxy Note line apart from other smartphones is its stylus. The S-Pen is now taller and thicker than the original while also boasting a new rubber tip. Samsung has included a new feature called Quick Commands that easily lets Galaxy Note 2 users access a collection of commands by simply holding down the button of the S Pen and swiping up.

Moreover, the S-Pen includes two new features, AirView and Pop Up Note. AirView is a way to view information without actually opening any content or could also be termed as the preview of any content.

Pop Up Note, on the other hand, allows users to open a small S Note window by just taking the S Pen out. This is perfect in writing down important notes and reminders

Longer Battery Life

One of the common complaints on the original Galaxy Note is its battery life. Samsung heard the pleas of the users and packed the new device with a massive 3100mAh slim battery, which offers longest standby time yet.

Impressive Pixel Resolution

Another important feature of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is its screen display with amazing 1280×720 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, its massive 5.5-inch screen makes the device perfect for film buffs who want to watch movies in their portable device.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be available later this year.
