The New Year kicked off with the Apple App Store having a lot of things in store for iPhone and iPad users. The App Store recently released the Official Charts for the week ending Jan. 2, 2012.

The addictive "Angry Birds" game is included in all of the lists. The game shows how the birds avenge the eggs that the pigs stole. The game makes use of physics and logic in order to progress to the next level. Other games also topped the list including, Fruit Ninja, Temple Run, Monopoly, and Scrabble.

In Paid iPhone Apps list, only tap tap tap's Camera+ is the only non-gaming app that people were willing to pay for. This app allows iPhone users to capture best photos using their camera.
