It certainly seems like time is moving faster now that we've reached the last month of the year. And in the tradition of the internet, we look back on the past year through the top searches of 2011.
1. iPhone: It is a testament to Steve Jobs' genius that an underdog brand jumps from cult following to a must have. And there is no easier way to join the cult than buying an iPhone, with the cheaper prices and more carriers; it's truly become a world phone.
2. Casey Anthony: The central figure in the trial of did she or didn't she, the single mother of Caylee Anthony made headlines in a bizarre and tragic case. Never one to be described as stable; Anthony's "Not Guilty" verdict was the verdict heard the world over.
3. Kim Kardashian: Who's sick of the Kardashians? Not us, apparently. Even after season after season of their reality show, multiple spin offs and a wedding extravaganza, Kim's divorce is still the talk of the collective town.
4. Katy Perry: The woman is everywhere-from her billboard hits to her string of TV appearances, Perry has successfully made herself relevant this year. Congratulations, girl!
5. Jennifer Lopez: Being People magazine's Most Beautiful Woman sure is tough. It's been a rollercoaster year for J.Lo but through divorce, breaking down in concerts and a hot younger man, the diva has managed to remain flawless.
6. Lindsay Lohan: What can we say, the downward spiral of La Lohan has not yet reached rock bottom it would seem.
7. "American Idol": A hot new roster of judges gave the show the comeback it needed after 2010's poorly rated season. Who knew that Steven Tyler would be America's newest sweetheart?
8. Jennifer Aniston: As the most famous and still significant of the gang from Central Perk, Aniston has released no less than 3 viral videos, got a tattoo, admitted the she hated the Rachel cut and got a new man. Not bad.
9. Japan Earthquake: Hit by the fourth largest quake in the world immediately after a tsunami, Japan certainly had to weather a rough 2011.
10. Osama Bin Laden: 10 years after the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the death of Bin Laden shook the world and a small comfort was given to those who lost loved ones on that fateful day in 2001.
