‘Total War: Warhammer’ DLC release, details and Australian price: ‘Realm of the Wood Elves’ features new wizards and lore-rich campaigns
“Total War: Warhammer” is set to release its most anticipated DLC in less than 24 hours and fans are all hyped up. The Creative Assembly turn-based strategy and real-time tactics video game shall include free Jade and Grey Wizards with the launch of the “Realm of the Wood Elves” expansion pack as previously announced by the developer.
“Realm of the Wood Elves” takes the eponymous Wood Elves to the “Warhammer” Grand Campaign with the group's “Season of Revelation” crusade. The game’s publisher, Sega, said that the first “Warhammer” Elven breed is sure to provide gameplay “unlike any other” due to its bountiful lore-heavy campaign and battle mechanics.

“Ranging forth from the enchanted forests of Athel Loren, they may capture any settlement in The Old World and set up expansionary outposts. In battle, they offer a swift, glass-cannon play style,” said Sega as quoted by PC Gamer. “By far the most powerful and versatile archers in the game, they can equip a range of magical arrows, fire on the move and are often joined by their Woodland allies such as Dryads, Great Eagles, Forest Dragons and vast, ancient Treemen.”
“Realm of the Wood Elves” allows players free access to Jade and Grey Empire wizards. The Jade wizards use Ghyran, the Lore of Life. They primarily focus on buffs and health-generating spells, but also utilise a few damaging tricks. The Jade wizards’ spells include Lifebloom (Augment), Awakening of The Wood (Explosion), Flesh To Stone (Augment), Shield of Thorns (Augment), Regrowth (Augment), Earth Blood (Augment) and The Dwellers Below (Direct Damage).
