Manchester United has readied an offer worth £58 million to acquire German striker Thomas Muller from FC Bayern Munich. The Red Devils looks to spark their transfer window with a huge deal and add a world-class quality footballer to their first team.

The two clubs are believed to be interested over a number of players from each sides with United courting Muller and Bastian Schweinsteiger, while Bayern has been keen in getting Angel Di Maria. Manchester United General Manager Louis Van Gaal is a big fan of Muller and would willingly offer a huge amount to lure the 25-year-old striker away from Allianz. Muller was honoured to have United’s interest in him, but the mercurial attacker downplayed the transfer speculations surrounding him saying that he feels good staying at Bayern despite an alleged strained relationship with manager Pep Guardiola.

"When a transfer request comes in, you automatically deal with it. A request from another big club is an honour and a telling reward that one's performances are good. But I feel good at Bayern and my deal runs until 2019. It's better to ignore speculation,” Muller said as per Bleacher Report.

The German international was reportedly touchy with his relationship towards Guardiola after the two have recently clashed at a training session. Muller reacted to criticism from Guardiola on Monday’s training by petulantly shouting to the coach.

“Fine! So I may as well just stop now and go back inside!” Muller exclaimed according to reports of German Media as per Daily Mail.

However, it was not the first time Muller reacted grumpily towards Guardiola. The German striker showed a resentful response to the Bayern coach last season during their loss against Barcelona in the Champions League.

Muller was part of the German national team that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He has maintained a strong presence in Bayern Munich’s lineup after posting 20 points and 13 assists in 38 Bundesliga and European starts as per WhoScored.com.
