The Twitter flirting of Miss Universe 1st runner-up Janine Tugonon, which led to her break up with her ordinary looking Filipino boyfriend Jaypee Santos, has led creative minds to use her name as a figure of speech or buzz word to mean dumping a boyfriend.

Her actions earned her the tag Miss Flirty.

As a result, the words na-Janine Tugonan is apparently trending on Twitter as Filipinos react to what happened between the couple whose relationship was destroyed by the entry of a third party, the lead singer of The Script.

Here are some examples of recent tweets using the latest Filipino buzz word.

"Na-Janine Tugonon -> you've been replaced by your ex bf/gf to someone BETTER than you (looks and fame)." - @kassadrababyyy

"pinagpalit ako sa mas maganda at sikat sa facebook! Na Janine Tugonon ako! PAKSHET@ HAHAHAHA." (You were dumped for some more beautiful and famous in facebook.) - @swiftieKaye

The issue has divided the nation as people either bashed or defended the beauty queen, a licensed pharmacist.

One of the defenders, @callmeisrael, tweeted, "I think people are being unfair with Janine Tugonon. This is cyber-bullying at its worst. I guess the moral here is lie to the public."

@JOINTEAMQUEST agreed, saying, "Before you judge Ms Janine Tugonon make sure you are perfect." #StopBashing Her.

@bernmisee added, "I don't get it why people get mad at @janine_tugonon. Who would ignore an international singer's dm?"

Similarly, @Impauu tweeted, "I don't think Janine Tugonon deserves all the bashing and hating. i mean I know what she did was wrong but we don't know much."

On the other side, there are those who disagree with what the now notorious beauty queen did.

Others blamed the talk show host, presidential sister Kris Aquino - herself a controversial figure because of her colourful and very public love life - for being tactless and elaborating on the break-up even as Jaypee stood beside Janine during the interview.

In response to all the bashing and criticisms she got, Janine tweeted, "We all have a past, so stop judging people in the present."

The negative comments contrasts to the hero's welcome that Janice got a few weeks ago from provincemates in Bataan

and alma mater, where she graduated cum laude and was Miss Pharmacy and Miss University of Santo Tomas.
