There are also complaints about Wi-Fi connectivity
Google unveiled the latest Nexus 6P-made by Huawei and LG made Nexus 5X at an annual event on Sept. 29. In less than two months, however, owners of both Nexus devices report major problems regarding the basic operations of the handset.
According to several posts on the Google Product Forum, Nexus 6P owners have problems with the microphone. The feeble and garbled voice quality is affecting calls on both the regular call mode and speaker mode.
Users have been questioning the smartphones’ microphone quality even on the XDA Developer Forum. Users also complained about call echoes during a conversation.
Some users opined the problem might be related to the noise cancellation setup of the phone. A user named Nicholas Fitchett confirmed turning-off voice cancellation via build prop worked for him.
Complaints also continue to pour in about the Nexus 5X. The main issue is the phone’s display becomes unresponsive and slow while charging with the USB Type C charger. It’s most noticeable once the user starts typing while the handset in charging. Others pointed to the slow scroll and swipe speed and poor keyboard input during a call. Neither Google nor LG have officially addressed the issue.
Another user warned about the faulty camera app problem. The application sometimes freezes and takes unusually more time to launch. Users are concerned as the brand new Nexus 5X automatically restart thrice in less than 24 hours. There are multiple posts on the powering off issue of the Google Nexus 5X, reports NDTV Gadgets.
There are also complaints regarding the Wi-Fi connectivity of the device. At times the ring tone of the phone doesn’t work after the user switches from Silent Mode to Ringing Mode until it’s restarted.
