“The Executive” is a weird game. It features a bad-ass CEO fighting his former employees, as they’ve turned into werewolves, but thankfully he just happens to be really good at martial arts and has the ability to use flaming kicks against his opponents. “The Executive” is a weird game, but considering that game developer Riverman Media has also made the similarly odd “Pizza vs Skeletons,” it’s hard to blame them for wanting to top themselves.

While “The Executive” is an odd game, it’s also one that appears to be taken seriously by the developer as the title was announced way back in 2013. The game was originally set to come out in 2014, but it has yet to see the light of day.

That being said, Touch Arcade managed to get some hands-on time with the game and a trailer was also released to give fans an idea about how the game will be run. If anything else, it seems to be an interesting hybrid, mixing platforming with some beat-em-up style action and some added business managing.

In an interesting move, the protagonist CEO of “The Executive” never stops running his business, even when he’s fighting werewolves and other monstrosities. Players will have to manage their time running the company, while also beating up some baddies. It adds an interesting mechanic to the platforming and brawling, while also making some sense in the context of the game’s rather unique universe.

The game also has some light RPG elements, which seems to be a common thing now in most games. As players defeat enemies, they get skill points that can be used to gain new abilities for this bad-ass CEO, the most notable of which seems to be the flame kick.

Though the title has been delayed a few times, Riverman Media are hoping for the game to be ready and released by the spring of 2015. So far the game seems to have gotten a positive reaction from the people who’ve tried it, so it seems that “The Executive” will be one that mobile gamers should be excited for, as it’s not every day players can fight werewolves with a CEO of a company.
