"Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder shows off his sizzling hot looks on the Winter 2013/2014 issue of Annex Man magazine cover. The 35-year-old heartthrob actor bared his bulging arms while wearing a Burberry cutoff as well as his soul. He also shared his fashion style and how he spends his free time.

"For day to day looks, my style is themed around effortless comfort. I'll often hear 'Beauty is pain' and that couldn't be further from the truth for me. But face it, I'm a dude's-dude who likes easy comfortable jeans and t-shirts to keep an otherwise and increasing more-complex world a bit simple," shared Ian. Ian may be busy with work in the CW TV series and his foundation but the actor revealed how he spends his free time. "Immersed in the worn pages of philosophy or a great work of fiction, taking in the hum of crickets and wilderness, and surrounded by the people I love," stated Mr Somerhalder.

He further added: "Simple joys in this life we tend to forget are even there. Taking a minute to leave the office or the studio for a stroll on a brisk fall day or a warm summer one really can work wonders. I find myself, just like the rest of us, trying to find that healthy balance."

On Twitter, Ian Somerhalder recently shared a photo of himself that "scared a bunch of people" due to the bloody smear on the right side of his face and neck. No need to panic or worry since it is only fake blood make-up used on the set as the actor filmed scenes as vampire Damon Salvatore in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5, according to the Entertainmentwise.com report.

"Scared a bunch of people accidentally at a gas station today. Damon was a little bloody," wrote Ian on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder with the Instagram image attached. The actor could be teasing about the danger that his character will face in the hands of co-star Rick Cosnett who portrays the vampire-torturing scientist Dr Wes Maxfield.

Ian and Rick may be enemies on-screen but the two showed the fans they are having a good time during film break when the Aussie actor shared a funny selfie image on Twitter. "Damon Salvatore you bloody legend @iansomerhalder #HappyBirthday #TeamWes #LookBehindYou," posted Rick Cosnetton his Twitter account @RickCosnett along with the photo.

The selfie image in the WetPaint report shows Rick trying to steal Ian's signature smoldering look at the camera while Ian looked warily at his co-star.
