The Vampire Diaries Season 5: CW Drama Searching for Actress to Portray New Vampire Villain Named Tessa
Avid viewers of the CW drama series Vampire Diaries will meet another character on the upcoming fifth season of the TV show. The CW Television Network is reportedly searching for an actress who will portray a new vampire villain named Tessa and star along with cast members Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley.

According to the SpoilerTV report, Tessa will make her first appearance in Season 5, Episode 3 as a "nobleman's daughter" and Stefan Salvatore's ex-girlfriend. Vampire Tessa have spent most of her years looking for the Salvatore brothers with a revengeful purpose.
Though vampire Tessa does not have fond memories with the Salvatore boys, she will be able to mesh with Ian Somerhalder's character Damon Salvatore. The new villain will reportedly be in control when she takes Damon's daylight ring.
As for villain Silas, executive producer Julie Plec reveals that Silas' appearance still hurls a "wrench in things" for the characters of Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. "He's causing the most trouble at the beginning of the season, for sure, but by no means is he the biggest villain in Season 5," Plec stated about the character Silas.
The TV Guide spoiler report on the new Vampire Diaries series claims that Silas still thinks of death and his girlfriend. "He still wants to get free from what he calls 'this stinking 2,000-year-old immortal life.' He still hopes to die, to cross over to the other side and be with his true love. But, of course, things will change along the way," the executive producer further shared.
Vampire Diaries Season 5 is scheduled to return on October 10 with two new cast members recently announced. Russian actress Olga Fonda will portray a mysterious character named Nadia while actor Kendrick Sampson portrays a Whitemore upperclassman and will have a close relationship with Candice Accola's character Caroline Forbes.
