The upcoming HTC One Mini has been appearing in a series of leaked images and reports on numerous tech Web sites. The latest update came from Twitter account @vizileaks, revealing that the mini smartphone version is scheduled for a launch in the UK on Aug 9.

"#HTC #OneMini #M4 hits UK stores 9th August 2013," Twitter account @vizileaks posted. The account has previously posted as well the details on the 41MP Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone.

It appears that the confirmation on the arrival date of HTC's mini device backs up the previous reports claiming an early August release date. The leaked images of the new smartphone initially appeared through the Web site AndroidNext.de.

There is no announcement yet on the HTC One Mini price tag. The Taiwanese company created the HTC One Mini as a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, and it is predicted that HTC will offer the new smartphone version to the consumers at a more affordable price.

The HTC One Mini will reportedly sport a 4.3-inch screen display with 1280x720p resolution, 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage capacity. Additional features and specs include the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the HTC Sense 5 UI, 4MP UltraPixel rear-facing camera and Beats Audio.

Aside from the HTC One Mini, the Taiwanese company will be releasing as well another smartphone in the form of the HTC Desire 500. It mysteriously appeared in early July at the O2 Germany document.

ePrice even revealed an invitation to a Taipei event on July 23 where HTC will officially announce the new Desire 500 device. The HTC model number on the new handset suggests that it will be smaller and more affordable compared to the HTC Desire 600.

HTC has not given any details as to what the HTC Desire 500 will offer. However, the Desire 500 may have the dual-SIM capabilities comparable to the Desire 600 and the Android Jelly Bean OS.
