'Vampire Diaries' Season 5 Spoilers: Damon Turns to Stefan for a Brotherly Advice After Breakup with Elena
In "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 mid-season finale, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) decided to end his relationship with Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) before things get out of hand and put Elena's life in danger. The latest spoiler reports claim the Delena couple's relationship will continue to get strained big time with Damon turning to his brother, Stefan (Paul Wesley), for advice after the breakup.
It will be an awkward scene between the Salvatore brothers since Damon seeks advice from Stefan, Elena's ex-boyfriend. The question now will be: What kind of advice will Stefan give his brother with a dark side?
"What the show does well is that it doesn't just make rash decisions with people that causes them to just stop loving the people they love. Damon and Elena have a deep-rooted love for each other and you can't just turn your back on that. Elena will always feel that for Damon even if they fight or [break up]. But we will see in future episodes that there is a huge strain in their relationship, bigger than them in a way," executive producer Caroline Dries teased in the TV Guide report.
Ms Dries further teased in the TV Line report that Damon will be getting some "good brotherly advice" that will point him to the right direction in the upcoming 100th episode or Episode 11 "500 Years of Solitude." The TVD executive producer explained: "Damon's fear is, 'What if I end up changing her? What if I make her bad?' Stefan is good. Stefan's knee-jerk reaction is to do the heroic thing. He can take care of Elena and influence her in the right ways. [Enzo is] starting to get into [Damon's] head. So he's starting to think, 'What if I change her?' That's why he made his decision."
Will the Delena love story continue or Elena runs back to Stefan? "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 is scheduled to return on Thursday night, January 23, at 8 p.m. on the CW network with the 100th episode titled "500 Years of Solitude" where viewers will be experiencing a trip down on memory lane.
