Details are now pouring out for the much anticipated 100th Episode of the CW TV series "The Vampire Diaries." The title of the upcoming episode in Season 5 was revealed and executive producer Julie Plec teased that the grand episode will take the fans to a trip down memory lane.

"The Vampire Diaries" episodes listing in the Futon Critic Web site show that Episode 100 or Episode 11 in Season 5 is titled "500 Years of Solitude" scheduled to air on January 23, 2014 at the CW network. The revelation on the episode title had entertainment Web site WetPaint speculate that character Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) is about to reach her end after receiving the news she had a couple of months to live.

Previous reports claimed that the 100th episode will focus on the Petrova doppelganger and the revealed title confirms the episode is about Katherine's troubled human existence. Additionally, "Vampire Diaries" executive producer Julie Plec hinted that viewers will be going down memory lane in the 100th episode.

"We are a big family here. We have a lot of favorites. We have a lot of people whom we love deeply who have died who are, you know, trapped on the Other Side; who have left the show to do other things; and the characters who have left Mystic Falls to do other things," stated Ms Plec in the WetPaint report.

The executive producer further teased that friendly faces could appear in "500 Years of Solitude." Ms Plec shared: "We definitely wanted to celebrate some of them and acknowledge how much we love some of them, so there may be a couple friendly faces that, you know, drop in whether it be in flashback or whatever over the course of the episode. It's a nice sort of trip down memory lane, for sure."

One familiar face reported to return to Mystic Falls is Original vampire-werewolf hybrid Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan). However, there are still other characters that could make a re-appearance like vampire hunter Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis), Vicki Donovan (Kayla Ewell) and Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning).

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 airs every Thursday nights at 8 p.m. on the CW network.
