The flagship device of the Taiwanese tech firm, HTC One, is coming to carrier Verizon on Aug 22, ending the long wait of techies wanting to own the device under better terms.

Techland said Verizon will make available the HTC One both online and in stores for $200 with a two-year contract. Verizon has not actually provided details of the game-changer smartphone, but Techland said it would likely have the same aluminium body that those who purchased the same model earlier from AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile got.

The aluminium casing is the best selling point of the HTC One. The Techland user pointed out that three months after using the device without a case, the gadget still doesn't have a scratch or blemish in contrast to the iPhone 5 whose aluminium edges started to collect scuffs almost upon initial use.

The device features front-facing speakers it named Boomsound and shoots great indoor photos even without a flash, although not as sharp as the images taken by the Samsung Galaxy S4 or Apple iPhone.

However, the downside to the phone is its non-removable battery and lack of expandable storage. The Verizon version of HTC One will run on Android 4.2.2 OS.
