Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Now Available For $399.99 (With Contract) And $799.99 (Unlocked)
Following the carrier US Cellular, Verizon has also started offering the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge specific to the U.S. customers. Verizon is selling the bent-display-clad Note Edge for $399.99 with two-year contract. In case, potential buyers would like to purchase the handset without a contract, the device will set the buyers back by $799.99. In addition, buyers can also opt for $33.33 per month plan on Verizon's Edge early upgrade program.
According to Verizon, the Galaxy Note Edge will work on XLTE network. And it is worth noting that this handset is also capable of working under AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile networks, notes GSM Arena. When it comes to key Galaxy Note Edge specifications, the stand out feature is the bent/curved display on the right side of the device. On the bent side, Samsung has used a thin strip of bent-glass to provide a seamless flow of clearly-defined information. The bent-side has the ability to display notifications, stock information, game scores and offers virtual controls, says Phone Arena.
As Verizon puts it, "The Edge screen is your gateway to frequently used apps and important information."In addition, the Note Edge owners can also see email alerts and social media updates on the side, without any interruption to the main display. Plus, the users can also play or pause a song or video via the Edge screen. The side display is very helpful to check the weather on the go and to get a glimpse of the breaking news.
Moreover, the Galaxy Note Edge is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 processor and backed by a good 3 GB of RAM. The handset features a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display, bundled with a screen resolution of 1,600 x 2,560 pixels (524 ppi).
As far as the memory goes, the phone comes equipped with 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage capacities with expandable storage option. When it comes to camera spec, the phone sports a 16 MP rear-facing unit and a 3.7 MP front-facing shooter. Furthermore, the device supports Fingerprint sensor and S Pen stylus. Lastly, the whole configuration is held together and powered by a battery pack of 3,000 mAh.
